Billing & monthly service credits
How billing works during the closed beta and what changes after.
Billing is disabled during the closed beta. You will not be charged. There is no payment method on file. Servers are provisioned for free for invited beta users.
What you'll see in the panel
The Billing tab shows a "Free during beta" notice while customer checkout is paused. Stripe does not collect live payment card data from beta users unless a page explicitly says sandbox checkout is active for testing.
When billing turns on
We'll turn billing on after:
- The paid-launch legal, billing, security, support, and restore-drill gates are approved.
- We've published reviewed Terms, Privacy, Acceptable Use, Refunds, Backup, DMCA/abuse, and SLA pages.
- We've run a clean beta verification window without unresolved P0 launch blockers.
When that happens:
- Existing beta users will get at least 30 days notice by email before any charge.
- The first invoice will be prorated from the date you choose to start paying — never backdated to your beta signup.
- You can cancel at any time before billing turns on with no obligation.
What it'll cost
The credit pricing on the pricing page is the planned launch pricing. The standard rate is $4.00 per monthly service credit, where 1 credit maps to 1 vCPU and 2 GB RAM for a 30-day server cycle. Active servers renew from the available credit balance every 30 days. The 6-15 credit tier is 10% off, and the 16-40 credit tier is 20% off.
Refunds
The current refund policy explains the beta no-charge state, sandbox checkout testing, monthly service credits, disputes, and the paid-launch baseline. Counsel should review the final refund terms before live billing.
Didn't find what you needed? Open a support ticket. During the closed beta you'll get a real human reply, usually within a few hours.
